Technical / Poster Session
As fields enter their mature stage, extending their productive life typically involves drilling more wells and applying production stimulation. Mature fields account for about two thirds of the world’s daily oil production and are expected to keep having a big stake in the future energy matrix. This session presents current experience in offshore mature basins and mature fields revitalization, and the technologies being applied by offshore operators and its contractors, both in expanding production and in decommissioning unused infrastructure.
