We are in an energy transition phase where sustainability and digitization also play an increasingly important role. The industry needs collaborations between operators, established OEM manufacturers, global service providers and technology startups, in order to innovate with an impact. The need for new technologies that can improve the overall solutions and value chains can range from so-called low-hanging fruit and change agents, to more mission critical and new business fields. With this in mind, corporate venture capital (CVC) has various needs and engagement models, to build business synergies to transformational change. This session will discuss the CVC aspects and their outlook for offshore technology needs in this decade and opportunities for startup companies.
